Google Web   PDAgold.com

In a few days, I am going to start a brand new PDAgold.com version with regular updates (including the most comprehensive device reviews) and many other improvements. Since English is not my native language, I'd like to ask someone for help with grammar and some other language stuff. If you think you could help me, please send me a message to p@vel.cz. Your help will be very appreciated! Pavel Koza

MVP Helio Diamant got a hold of a Bluetooth patch from Broadcomm (previously Widcomm) at CES. When installed, this cabinet file adds these profiles to the Broadcom BT stack in the PDA2K aka. XDA IIs/III:

    1. High-Quality Audio
    2. Keyboard
So, by applying this patch, you can now use Bluetooth keyboards and stereo Bluetooth headphones with your iMate PDA2K devices!

Note This patch is unsupported and unofficial -- download and apply it on your own risk. Take a backup of your device before attemping to install the patch as it might cause problems While this is intended for only the iMate PDA2K Pocket PC Phone Edition, it might work with Dell, HP and Loox devices running the Widcomm/Broadcom Bluetooth Stack. This patch will NOT work on devices using Microsoft (or any other's) Bluetooth Stack!

You can now also download the patch from PDAGold. Click the link below to download the patch.

Good Luck!

You can probably, but it will not work (most likely)...

I have an O2 XDAII mini, fingers crossed, the Widcomm bluetooth stack should allow me to use my HP bluetooth headphones.... However, I have no idea how to apply this stack. Could anyone please enlighten me on the steps to take, and/or if it will work.

Cheers

It should be work fine on the i-mate i-jam...

By the way, for my work I test A2DP phones, PDA's and headsets. On my website I have published a list of compatible devices.

On PPC2003, if you have a broadcom stack and its deactivated, there will be a small red "x" at the bottom right top of the bluetooth icon. Also, clicking the bluetooth icon will give you a menu with 3 options, turn bluetooth on (or off), bluetooth settings, bluetooth manager.

If you have a microsoft stack and bluetooth is disabled, there will be a line through the bluetooth icon

Hi I downloaded the Widcom patch for my Cigular 8125 but it doesn't give me an option for Stereo.

Are there other options or settings to throw.

The file said it was installed successfully.

What do I do.
