Category - Mobile Devices, Official, Personal & Business, Software Developers, Windows phone
It's more than half a year when the new developmental version of update for Mobile Outlook was presented - it was a version for older devices with Windows Mobile 6.1. A few day ago, Microsoft troted out with the final version which brings us sorting of emails according to conversations with simple design, also offer the most frequently used features, arranged appointments in the colleague's calendar with whom you are planning a meeting, the synchronization of SMS with Exchange Server and thus able to react from classical Outlook or via OWA or enhanced voice mail. These new features are, however, available only to users whose devices are synchronized with Microsoft Exchange Server 2010. To those should appear soon a prompt to download update, all should pass fully automatically.
Final version of Opera Mobile 10 and Opera Mini 5 for downloading
Category - Mobile Devices, Official, Software Developers
After many many months of developing, on Opera website finally appeared the final version of both browsers - Opera Mobile 10 and Opera Mini 5. Both browsers are completely free. Even if it is now available native beta version of Opera Mini, the final version published on the website still requires Java. Opera Mobile is again available in two versions - for touchscreen and non-touchscreen devices. There is not much news, but everything should be optimized and functional (but unfortunately it is not true, because Opera Mobile renders poorly perhaps most of the complicated pages). If you want to try one of these browsers just download either installer for desktop, or directly installer for your device (just open the website m.opera.com from your device). More…
The official requirements for Windows Phone 7 Series
Category - Mobile Devices, Official, Software Developers, Windows phone
After weeks of speculations, Microsoft yesterday finally released official specifications for the devices with Windows Phone 7 Series. Probably the most interesting and somewhat unexpected requirement is the display resolution, because in addition to classical Windows Mobile devices with WVGA resolution (480 x 800 pixels), the new system will also support the HVGA resolution, ie 320 x 480 pixels (for example this will have the upcoming HTC HD mini). Archaic QVGA will probably end. Other requirements for WP7S devices are capacitive display with support for at least 4 contact points (for multitouch technology), sensors (A-GPS, acceleration, approach, compass and light), at least 5 megapixels digital camera with flash and a separate control button, multimedia codecs with suppport for acceleration, at least 256MB memory and 8 GB Flash, GPU with DirectX 9 support and the main processor type ARM7Cortex/Scorpion or later. The last requirement is a trio of buttons for controlling below the screen. More…
