Voice Notes Recorder with MP3 encoding (NoteM) was implemented as an alternative to build-in Notes application’s voice recording feature. It gives you approximately 5.5 compression rate (for Low bitrate option) as compared to Notes default recording mode (8-bit 11.025kHz mono PCM), with the same (or even better) perceptual quality. Higher bitrates are also available (you can even record music). The user interface also was implemented as similar as possible to Notes GUI.

Excellent application ! All voice notes are recorded clearly and r easily displayed. No bugs so far. Option of saving notes on CF or SD card (that´s great).
Enhancement suggestion: complete MIDI support.

This is a GREAT program...can't believe that it is Freeware!

I use it for teaching application (high school choral music), recording choirs or student lessons at a high stereo format, and then later burning those files for my students.

When you can record as an MP3, why would you ever want to record in any other format?

If I ever meet Alexander Zavorine, I'm buying him the adult beverage of his choice.
